Welcome the holidays with selections from Handel’s beloved masterwork. Choose between two performances, one on Friday, December 1 at 7:30 pm, one on Saturday, December 2 at noon, both in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
Christmas Messiah also includes arrangements of “Joy to the World,” “Still, Still, Still,” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” as well as Jennifer Higdon’s ethereal “O Magnum Mysterium.”
The concert features our 100-voice chorus and chamber orchestra conducted by artistic director Peter Steenblik. In addition, it showcases four of Pensacola Opera’s Jan Miller Studio Artists as soloists, three from this season (soprano Nicole Heinen, Mezzo-soprano Alexandra Sanchez, and baritone Bernardo Medeiros) and one from last (tenor Randy Ho).
Buy your tickets through Purplepass.com or phone Andrew Metzger in Pensacola State College Department of Performing Arts box office at 850-484-1847, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
