We held our fifth annual holiday sing-along on December 15, hosted for the fourth time at the Rex Theatre by Generation Church. Many thanks to Josh, Lisa, Ray, Stephen, and the others who welcomed us and ensured that everything ran smoothly!
About 180 singers of all ages gathered for an hour of favorite carols and songs, led by Amberly Sokoloff and our women’s ensemble, who also treated us to some numbers from their seasonal repertoire. In addition, we were entertained in barbershop style by men from the Pensacola Bay Harmonizers (Mary Daugherty, director), enjoyed holiday refreshments, and visited with Santa, who took time out during his busiest season to join us. You can see some photos by John Blackie event in a Pensacola News Journal gallery.
Thanks to all who contributed items for Manna Food Pantries to brighten the holidays for some of our neighbors.
