On December 2 and 3, the beautiful Cathedral of the Sacred Heart provided an ideal setting for the Choral Society’s two performances (one sold-out) of excerpts from Handel’s Messiah and other choral works for the season by Felix Mendelssohn, Antonio Vivaldi, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Harold Darke.
Artistic Director Peter Steenblik conducted our 100-voice chorus and chamber orchestra, and, as soloists, we’ll welcomed four of Pensacola Opera’s Jan Miller Studio Artists: Hayley Abramowitz, Kayla Nanto, Randy Ho, and Scott Lee.
- Soprano Hayley Abramowitz was sponsored by CSoP sopranos.
- Mezzo-soprano Kayla Nanto was sponsored by Drs. Mark and Laura Wehry.
- Tenor Randy Ho was sponsored by William “Tony” McDonald and Wilk O. West.
- Baritone Scott Lee was sponsored by Pamela and Cecil Brown.
