The Choral Society has begun a new era under the leadership of Peter Steenblik, our first new artistic director in more than 20 years. He’s programmed four memorable concerts for our 2021-2022 season. 

Frostiana – Sunday, October 24 – 7:30 p.m. – Pensacola High School auditorium (500 West Maxwell St.)

Savor a program of American music, featuring a choral classic — Randall Thompson’s setting of seven poems by Robert Frost — with chamber orchestra.

Her Christmas – Saturday, December 4  – 7:30 p.m. – Cathedral of the Sacred Heart (1212 E. Moreno St.)

Welcome the holidays with a program of sacred works spanning five centuries, all arranged and composed by women.

Stage and Screen  Sunday, February 20 – 2:00 p.m. Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, Pensacola State College (1000 College Blvd.)

Enjoy a medley of favorite songs from musicals and movies. The concert showcases performances by the winners of Young Voices 2022, our singing competition for high school and college students.

Triptych – Sunday, May 15 – 7:30 p.m. – Center for Fine and Performing Arts, University of West Florida, Building 82 (11000 University Pkwy.)

Thrill to a concert of contemporary works for chorus and percussion, including Tarik O’Regan’s Triptych and Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.
